Metechi Hardneck Garlic

Metechi is the hot one. A porcelain hardneck out of Georgia, with thick wrappers and cloves that bite.

Raw, it is sharp and lingering. Cook it hard and it holds its own in a stew or a roast instead of fading out.

We grow it organically in the Wisconsin Northwoods, planted and pulled by hand. Sold by the pound.

Planting garlic — bulbs 2 inches or larger. One pound plants about 30 cloves. Order now for fall. We harvest in July and cure on the farm. We ship as orders come in.

Cooking garlic — smaller bulbs, same variety, same farm. For pots that want garlic you can still taste.
