Making Garlic Tea

Making Garlic Tea

Garlic tea is a popular remedy for cold and flu symptoms, as garlic contains compounds that have antimicrobial and immune-boosting properties. Below is a simple recipe for making garlic tea (just maybe avoid drinking it on a date or job interview, unless you want to make a memorable impression).

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 cloves of garlic, peeled and minced or sliced
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1-2 teaspoons of honey (optional)
  • 1 slice of lemon (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan.

  2. Add 3-4 cloves of minced or sliced garlic to the boiling water.

  3. Reduce the heat and let the garlic simmer for 10-15 minutes.

  4. Turn off the heat and strain the garlic from the tea using a strainer or cheesecloth.

  5. Add 1-2 teaspoons of honey (optional) to the tea for sweetness and flavor.

  6. Squeeze a slice of lemon (optional) into the tea for added vitamin C.

  7. Serve hot and enjoy your garlic tea!

Note: If you find the taste of garlic too strong, you can add more honey or lemon to the tea to balance out the flavor.
